A member asked:

Can hsv1 genitally cause one swollen lymph node in the groin during primary outbreak? also, is it rare to spread hsv1 to partners during vaginal sex?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The answer is, Yes!: HSV is contagious to your sex partner, so you both need a course of antibiotics which may eliminate this infection. Groin nodes can enlarge due to infection or inflammation in and around your genitalia.
