What does" brain shows greater than age-appropriate parenchymal volume loss" means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Brain shrinkage: JMac - the brain usually shrinks as we age and there is a normal rate of shrinkage. That is called " age appropriate shrinkage" If there is more, it could be associated with early onset of dementia. If there are no symptoms and memory is ok dont worry. Brain shrinkage is not a good way to determine dementia. Mental tests are. See a doc if worried thx
