A member asked:

What endocrine disorders other than acromegaly or pituitary tumor could cause height growth spurts in late 30s/early 40s?would hypothyroidism do that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Growth: Once you go through puberty, the growth plates close, and you will not grow anymore. Acromegaly in an adult does not cause growth in height, just thickening of bones/features. Hypothyroidism does not increase height. The most common cause of "adult growth" is a mistake in measurement, including in MD offices, where height measurements are often not accurate.
