Women using: Nexplanon are instructed to check that it is in place. You should be able to feel the small rod. It is unlikely that it has become altered and suffered any degradation...it is more likely to have migrated or moved a bit such that it feels different when you try to locate it. For reassurance, I would probably check in at your doctor's office and have them feel it, too. Good wishes:)
