Evening primrose: I assume that you're using the evening primrose in the latter portion of your cycle prior to menses. If so I don't believe it will affect trying to conceive. It will also have no effect on mucus production. I suggest that you use an over the counter sperm friendly lubricant, and if you don't conceive then go for intra uterine insemination.
