My brother has a cracked heel and it's a fungal infection, shows bit red skin. what's the best thing to do? also what's your opinion on coconut oil?

Moisturize: Any moisturizing, including coconut oil, with help heel fissures. If it is, in fact, due to fungus, he would be better off using an over-the-counter antifungal cream like terbinafine, tolnaftate or Clotrimazole (generic names). Using them under some plastic wrap at night will speed the process.

See below: Use a pumice stone or callous file toe reduce the thickness of the tissue. Apply a topical antifungal. If redness persists see a podiatrist for evaluation for possible infection.
