Pain and fainting: Two things - back pain should always be evaluated by a physician. And syncope (fainting) should also be evaluated for cardiac or neurogenic causes. Sometimes, people have situational syncope - severe pain can cause them to faint, or stressful situations (getting blood drawn or speaking to a crowd).
