A member asked:

Hi my daughters 12 and she has been having really severe pain in her back that causes her to faint or collapse. she has seen many doctors.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain and fainting: Two things - back pain should always be evaluated by a physician. And syncope (fainting) should also be evaluated for cardiac or neurogenic causes. Sometimes, people have situational syncope - severe pain can cause them to faint, or stressful situations (getting blood drawn or speaking to a crowd).
