I am taking lexapro, topamax, buspar, xanax, adderall xr, and lunesta (eszopiclone) do you think my doctor has me on to many medications?

Comments: Not knowing why you are on all of these medications, I can only assume you have some resistant symptoms, and perhaps side effects, prompting numerous approaches. Strongly urge a second opinion from a board certified internist, as your medications have distinct risks of drug-drug interactions.

Review with doctor: Agree with comments made by others re drug interactions and need to justify each med. Meantime, write down each med/dose/when started/possible side effects and review each one with prescribing doctor. Good to question if too many meds. Write down when you felt your best and worst since on these meds. Tell doctor you'd like to cut back meds and how to do that. Can do same if you want a 2nd opinion.

Maybe: You may very well be on too many medications, but you did not say what your diagnosis or diagnoses are. It may be exactly the right combination of medications. Are you feeling well on these? Do you have any side effects? How were you doing previously? Talk to your treating physician, and then you may want a second opinion.
