A member asked:

Can i take singulair (montelukast) and rupatadine together? i'm also taking clarithromycin.

Yes to the first two: antihistamines like rupatadine are often combined with leukotriene inhibitors such as singular to help control allergies. Clarithromycin , an antibiotic in the same class as erythromycin can sometimes be tricky with antihistamines , as occasionally heart rhythm disturbances can occur . It also can cause nausea

Yes: Singular with Rupatidine can be talen together, as the latter acts on allergy symptoms quicker while the former is more preventative for the long term benefit. Clarithromycin is antibiotic which treats infection. Feel better!

Yes you can: Rupatadine isn't available in the US, the closest preparation would be loratadine or desloratadine, either doesn't interact with Montelukast or clarithromycin, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medications, wish you wellness,
