Antiinflammatory: A trial of anti-inflammatory medications for 14 days may help. If no help, consider a consultation with a urologist. Ask if infection is possible, and if antibiotics needed. Also ask if a short course of steroids (Medrol (methylprednisolone) Dosepak) is appropriate, and ask whether or not there is a hernia. Hope this helps!
