Can a blood test tell you that you are pregnant when u because a friend of mind is pregnant but the ultrasound is not picking up a heartbeat 9weeks?

Blood test can tell: you that you are pregnant. Measuring the hormone in the blood (hcg) may tell how far along. But by 9 weeks there should be a heart beat. A detailed ultrasound is needed to take a "look" at what is going on.
