Mgt: It varies, but generally 30 days to heal an ear infection is within range.

Earaches : It can take a month or two for the fluid to fully resolve. With ibuprofen every six hours you should be able to control the pain. Pain is the worst in the first 48hours, then improves. In a sense ear perforation DOES help the infection because it "relieves the pressure" so to speak, but having one perforation puts you at risk for more perforations. Hope this helps!
