A member asked:

My head starts to throb instantly if i bend down even a little bit and it sometimes is followed by coughing. what could explain this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Head throbbing: Bending increases pressure in the sinuses and within the cranium. Have you had any other symptoms suggesting a sinus infection? If symptoms persist, see your physician who will check your blood pressure and perform a head and neck examination. If felt advisable imaging studies and possible referral to a neurologist or otolaryngologist can be ordered. If sinusitis is diagnosed, treatment given
