U of Washington: HSV Western blot is done almost exclusively at the University of Washington in Seattle, where the test was researched and developed. It's generally the best test to confirm an uncertain HSV blood test result, but often other tests (e.g. inhibition, immunoblot, BiokitUSA) are adequate and available at routine labs. If your doc recommends WB, s/he can contact UW lab for a test kit and instructions.
