Other symptoms..?: The symptoms you have described could be due to many different illnesses. In my experience, patients with meningitis most commonly present with high fever, neck stiffness, severe headaches,nausea and vomiting. There are some serious forms of meningitis associated with rashes.However, they will be associated with equally serious symptoms as listed above.If you are unsure, see your doctor right away

Possible: These symptoms are more compatible with a viral infection. If your headaches have been present for an entire week, you need to see your doctor since one cannot rule out meningitis
