A member asked:

I am currently taking 100 mg of generic zoloft (sertraline) for depression, but the ocd is definitely not gone. do i possibly need a higher dose or a different med?

Ocd treatment: Sometimes with ocd it can take some time to find the right medication. If zoloft (sertraline) has been partially effective, it can be increased to 200mg under a doctor's supervision. There are other medications which can help if zoloft (sertraline) does not such as Luvox and anafranil. Cognitive behavioral therapy can also be effective. Depending on the severity, therapy and medication.
