Prilosec: Greetings. The Prilosec is a specific medication to reduce stomach acid production. It may have been prescribed by the doctor who diagnosed your gastric polyps. I would recommend reviewing these questions with your GI specialist. Prilosec is often recommended to reduce inflammation in the esophagus and stomach. There are other medications that are very similar.
