No: Fertility returns within 1-2 months after Mirena (levonorgestrel) use. Remember that in all of the best circumstances ( like young healthy couples with no issues of any kind ) it can take up to a full year to get pregnant. Try ovulation predictor kits to time intercourse and if no baby after a year see your gyno. Happy baby making!

A couple of months: Since Mirena (levonorgestrel) contains a progestin,it makes the uterine lining thin thus causing u 2 have very light periods or skip periods. It usually takes a cycle or 2 to have a healthy uterine lining 4 implantation. There should be little or no other impact on fertility but most women take a few months to conceive. When you don't want to be pregnant, it seems you get pregnant any time you have sex but not so.
