Not necessary: Even though it is not dangerous to take these medications 2 hours apart, it is not necessary. You will not achieve any additional benefit. If The Nexium (esomeprazole) is not controlling acid reflux throughout the day you can take a Zantac 12 hrs later or at bedtime.
