Chronic itching around pelvic area & into inner thigh closest to genital area. there's some swelling small bumps after scratching, leaves scars. dry?

Fungal infection: Sounds like jock itch (tinea cruris). Caused by a fungus and results in red, itchy skin in the groin area that can expand onto the thighs. Most OTC anti-dandruff shampoos like Nizoral have ketoconazole in them that will treat the fungus. This shampoo can be applied in the shower. If this does not clear the infection, follow up with FP doc.
