Infection- see GYN: you must be examined and cultured. I suggest a GYN exam and pelvic exam ASAP.

If a white discharge: is present, a yeast infection would be my first diagnosis. I would try OTC treatment with clotrimazole first. Also consider contact dermatitis: vaginal tissues can become irritated and inflamed by something touching them...detergent, soap, lubricant, condom. Or just plain dryness.Eliminate the soap/detergent, etc issues and try the OTC treatment. If symptoms persist, see your doctor for diagnosis

Inflammation: Sounds like you have inflammation, either from an infection or dermatitis. A physical exam would help identify the problem.

Possibile Candida: You may have a yeast (Candida) infection which also causes a white discharge and occasional soreness. This usually responds to Monistat (miconazole)cream or Terazol (terconazole) cream. However, without examining you I can't make a precise diagnosis, for which you would have to consult your physician.
