Get checked: Your cough may be upper respiratory, from post nasal drip - very likely with seasonal allergies. Or lower respiratory from trachea, bronchi (bronchitis) or alveoli (pneumonia), typically from virus infection. There could be other causes as well. Since your symptoms are so disruptive, you should get checked right away. Hope that helps.
