How to ask surgeon to record surgery, which is next wednesday?

Good luck!: Most physicians are hesitant to allow surgeries to be recorded for a variety of reasons. Some hospitals and surgi-centers have rules against this. If you have a good reason for asking, you can just ask innocently, "would it be all right if I record?" and be prepared to answer the "why?" question. Good luck on the surgery too!
