Not exactly: The baby is confined inside the uterus, which is anchored in the pelvis. As it grows, uterus expands and everything gets pushed upwards, but the baby isn't exactly scuba diving around...Can have relative appearance of this if you are small and baby is big (or later in pregnancy).
