Most likely : If they were pneumonias for which the baby required antibiotics the yes CF testing and testing for immune deficiencies is probably something you want to talk to your doctor about.

CF screen: Recurrent chest infections can be caused by a long list - viruses, bacteria, aspiration and cf. It is a good idea though to consult with your physician to discuss obtaining a test for cf. Problems with the immune system can also lead to recurrent infections. These can be diagnosed by appropriate testing.
