Back pain: Back pain is one of most common reasons for patients to seek medical evaluation. List of possible causes is extensive requiring a visit (but not necessarily any imaging) w/FamilyDoc. If painful urination, we worry about kidney infection as cause of back pain. If blisters, we think shingles. If recently attempted to lift something, then muscle strain. Depends where: there can be a lot of things that can cause discomfort to the back it can be muscular it can be skeletal, it could be internal organs such as the gallbladder or the kidneys which have inflammation that is felt in the back. Also the intestines. Even lung problems could cause this. This is something to discuss with your physician
