BNP: The normal range for BNP and pro-BNP are quite different and not comparable. The normal BNP range is lower than that for pro-BNP – a source of confusion for both health care professionals and patients alike. The levels are useful for an initial diagnosis, but generally not as useful as clinical evaluation for long term monitoring of patients.
