Complex: High blood pressure was usually managed with a variety of medications. Typically, these have to be adjusted over time. If you are obese, then weight loss is important. Keep seeing your doctor, and ask if he medications should be adjusted. If you're not satisfied, find another general doctor to get a second opinion from. Hope this helps!

BP: Assumking that your BOnhas been measured more than once the right way, and you were sitting for some time before the pressure was measured, your diastolic BP has reached the threshold for therapy based on JNC-8. You should see an MD and also pursue life style, diet changes. Best of luck. BP need to be checked and followed up.
