Complex issue: All pregnancies have a baseline of ~4% for unexpected outcomes (cleft, premi, sick, etc.) and 1/189 does not add much to that number.More info on both families could input or exclude more sources of risk. (genetic counselor). There are less invasive but less definitive measures (blood tests, ultrasound) that can be used as an initial screening.The final decision must be your own, based on all info.
