Relax: even if follicle ruptures by itself, egg remains viable in uterus for 48-72 hrs to get fertilized. So relax

It could: that's possible, but if it happens tomorrow the egg will still be around for fertilization on the day of your IUI. HCG injections can lead to luteal phase defects,so make sure your provider checks a serum progesterone level at the same time as your pregnancy test to see if you need supplementation.

Hi doctors, I just wanted to ask at how many mms is it ideal to get the hcg trigger shot for the IUI procedure. what mm should the largest follicle be on the day the hcg is to be administered?
Hcg trigger shot on the 20th June (2 follicles @ 21mm on each side) and iui on 22nd June (I had a mild pain this day). But on 24th June I got a ovulation like pain than on the day of IUI. Why did it happen?
