A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urachael cyst: A cystic structure on top of the bladder usually refers to the urachus. This is a remnant of a channel between the bladder and the umbilicus where urine initially drains in the fetus during the 1st trimester of pregnancy. It obliterates by the 12th week leaving a small fibrous remnant between bladder and umbilicus called the median umbilical ligament. If symptoms noted, resection indicated.
