A member asked:

Got diagnosed with navicular accessory type 3 and gave me a boot but its un comfortable should i buy a better on for comfort and faster recovery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Comfort Is Important: If you are having pain with the accessory navicular it is best to immobilize it via a CAM walker (boot) to prevent you from putting excess pressure on the area. If you are able to tolerate this that would be in your best interest. If it is still painful it would be best to get a more comfortable CAM walker or to ask your doctor about a corticosteroid injection for treatment of pain and swelling.
