Hirsutism: The short answer is yes but the longer answer is very complicated. There are many reasons for women to have excess facial hair with androgen excess being on example. Androgen is a hormone very similar to cortisol and some patients with high cortisol levels also have high androgen levels leading to facial hair or male features.
