A member asked:

Front of thigh won't stop twitching. what can cause? just had blood work for physical which can check the electrolytes..

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Often mysterious: Nobody really knows why this happens. I suspect that it's due to a minor nerve injury, with the denervated motor end plates extra sensitive to acetylcholine; if the blood levels go up for a moment, the muscle twitches. Just my idea. Generally this goes away. Despite "pop" wisdom, electrolyte problems don't present this way. Hope you're staying physically fit. Best wishes.
