A member asked:

What are the repercussions of burning out neurotransmitters in bipolar mania?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doesn't happen: It's unclear what you are referring to. Perhaps some idea of neurochemical depletion. Most commonly a manic episode ends with a switch into a depressive one, but it can become chronic mania. (Unless it is treated.)
