Sinus problem: Might be a sinus problem causing both your throat and your headaches. Is it Migraine? This is an extremely misused word. Suggestion: Clear the sinuses. Green tea with lemon and honey to stimulate nasal cilia; humming, pulsed irrigation. Drink hot tea before getting out of bed to wake up your cilia. Eat yogurt regularly or probiotics. see www.grossaninstitute.com for more suggestions.

"sour" or "sore"?: Either way, one consideration is acid reflux that is related to being supine. GERD can actually lead to involvement all the way up to the back of the throat while lying down. Allergy from dust mite, mold or animals certainly possible. Just realize that nasal and sinus tissues to tend to congest anyway - and becomes more noticeable with allergy, inflammation, medication, and also during migraines.
