See doc.: There is a lot of help for people with migraine, to decrease frequency and severity. The first step is to get seen by a doc and evaluated to be sure that you are really having migraines and not headaches from other causes. Keep a headache diary, with foods your eating, amount of sleep and types of activity (inc. hours spent on the computer or texting) while you are waiting to be seen. Good luck!

Two approaches: Best is prevention and that can be done with prescription meds such as topamax (topiramate) or depakote, and to abort headache, triptans such as Imitrex or relax work well. Botox might be of value, acupuncture has served well. Cambia, dolovent, and analgesics have been used. Otc prevention such as butterbur or riboflavin are used. Discuss options with your doctor, maybe see neurologist.
