It feels like a pimple enlarged in my ear at the beginning of the ear canal. will rubbing alcohol make it better or worse?

A small infection: like this may improve with lancing the pustule.One could apply hot packs every 4 hours to attempt spontaneous drainage.A topical or oral antibiotic will prevent spread.Alcohol will cleanse the surface but not effect the underlying infection/inflammation.I hope this is helpful.
