A member asked:

Does ejection fraction vary in a healthy heart? was told my ef was "normal and stable" but in the written reports it's anywhere from 53-67 over 6 months. how is low-normal to 67 stable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

EF: Ejection fraction varies with the loading conditions of the heart. It also varies by the method used to measure it. As long as its consistently in the normal range, no particular concern. It will almost never be reproducibly the same number in the same person.
