Is a low ejection fraction (48%) always indicative of heart problems? my stroke volume is low too. all my wall sizes and chamber sizes are normal.

EF,SV: These numbers have little meaning without knowing the patient's other data as well as where these numbers came from. The values if obtained from a good lab by a valid technique suggest that something may be wrong with the heart and a reason for the low values be sought.
