Can a pregnant woman fasts in ramdan?

Ramadan fasts: Ramadan fasts by pregnant women can be problematic if dehydration results when not drinking or eating during the daylight hours. It is important to honor the religious belief, but it is necessary to at least tell the OB MD of this practice in case Rx is needed during pregnancy.

Not ideal: Not many pregnant bodies would be able to tolerate this comfortably. I don't think effects on fetus during fast periods have been studied
