Hospital Delivery: For a women who has had a child with cerebral palsy, the most important is to prevent another baby with cerebral palsy. Hope that you have received prenatal care and are going to deliver in a hospital with neonatal intensive care unit. Definitely, inform and remind your care givers and nurses about your situation. You should be monitored during labor to detect fetal heart rate changes. Be calm!

Good prenatal care: A study of more than 50,000 births in the US revealed more than half the kids with signs of CP by age 7 were the product of a normal pregnancy, labor & delivery, There are no guarantees in pregnancy. About 4% will have some unexpected outcome. The best you can do as a mom is get good prenatal care, maintain good nutrition & avoid things you know to be harmful to baby.
