Depends!: Grand mal seizures can be due to lots of things! Severe infections, alcohol withdrawal, epilepsy, drug toxicity, etc. Seizures are a bad sign in some cases. In epilepsy, seizures are rarely fatal. Auras don't always lead to a seizure. for some people.
