A member asked:

I have been having auras at least 1 every 2-3 months that last 5-10 seconds. i do have seizures that are under control so i don't know what is causing the auras?

Auras represent seizure activity onset which is transient and fails to progressively generalize. The infrequency is positive, but also indicative that better control should be sought. Let your neurologist know. Oftentimes, a slight medication adjustment will make the difference. Some periodic triggers, such as missing doses may be responsible.
