Unclear: Bentyl (dicyclomine) is an antispasmodic that works typically on the intestinal smooth muscles to reduce contractions. Its helpful in Irritable bowel syndrome. Its very hard to say what your pain was caused by as the colon stomach live and gallbladder can all be a source of referred pain in that area. Keep an eye out for recurrence of symptoms and let your MD know.
