Interesting question: Nattokinase is a protease, a family of chemicals that facilitates the breakdown of proteins. Studies suggest it works (1) by inhibiting platelet clumping & fibrin formation and (2) by dissolving clots which INCREASES FDP. In theory, it's more likely to produce a false (+) d-Dimer than a false (-). But the magnitude of this effect probably isn't clinically relevant either way. Helpful?

I'm not a hematologist but research suggests the initial effects of Nattokinase are to increase D-dimer levels- see http://www.nature.com/srep/2015/150625/srep11601/full/srep11601.html In study where nattokinase and pycnogenol were found very effective in reducing DVT no difference in D-Dimer levels were found: http://tinyurl.com/o7sxpjn I doubt Natto would cause false-neg.
