A member asked:

Imaging report says barium contrast was refluxed to the distal decending colon. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Barium is pushed: Backward into your colon via an enema. This seems to just mean that the barium reached your descending colon which is on the left side of the abdomen. It must first pass retrograde through rectum and sigmoid.
