Good imaging tool: CT with contrast of the abdomen and pelvis gives a detailed look at the bowel, solid organs, and surrounding structures. Infection, inflammation, and cancer can all frequently be identified on CT.

Abdominal x-ray showed colon thickening. Colonoscopy came back fine. No diverticulitis, etc. Could the X-ray have been wrong or what could have been seen on x-ray that colonoscopy missed? This was x-ray and not a CT. GI did not appear concerned?
