Bite or infection?: The red dot could be something as simple as a recent insect bite or something more complicated like an infection. If you have leg stiffness and soreness you should really be evaluated. You don't usually see that with something as simple as a flea bite. If you're running a fever or if there's any spreading redness around the wound you should definitely be seen right away.
