Yes: Please talk to your doctor about intravenous iron infusion. A large amount can be given in one sitting obviating the need for oral intake.

I have iron anemia and AI gastritis. I vomited blood 6 weeks ago. My GI ordered a CBC which was normal. Could the iron infusion I had 8 months ago skew the CBC results to show no bleeding even if there is? The infusion has helped my CBC and iron #s?

I have a low ferritin and normal hemoglobin. Also i have gastritis and can't take iron. How can i raise ferritin level?
